RV Tour - Leg 3 - Ann Arbor, Michigan

Our journey led us to Sugarloaf Lake Campground near Ann Arbor Michigan, with a stopover in Gaylord for the night. Utilizing the Harvest Host app, we booked a spot at a business where we could stay for free by making a purchase. Our stay at Big Bucks Brewery included a delightful meal and of course, beer!

Reuniting with old friends at Wolverine Brewery was fantastic! We had a great time with Therese Langan in downtown Ann Arbor -we were truly amazed by the town's newfound European ambiance. Due to the pandemic, some main streets were closed to traffic, and restaurant tables were placed on the streets. The community embraced this change so much that it became a permanent feature, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.

Lots of pickleball with the Strites and amazingly our old neighbor, Deb, was in town from Ohio. To recreate old times, we drank some "coffee". (In the old days Jan, Judy and Deb would pour wine in coffee cups and drink it in the yard while the young kids played).

David took in a tailgate party with the Strites (Michigan vs Texas), while Judy have a lovely hike day with Therese. A nice visit to the elementary school with Jan Strite and later we went to the Sierra Ferrell concert in downtown Royal Oak. It was a busy four days and we loved every minute of it!
